The (long awaited?) A-Level results were published online around 4pm here, August 10. Plenty of eager (...or otherwise) aspiring students hog the computers, awaiting that very moment which shall determine whether they succeed getting into the highly coveted places they were offered by the universities (especially in the UK). Of course, there are those who gleefully receive their results and feel as thought they've conquered the highest peaks, whereas others turn their heads down, walking away with their hopes washed away by the tears inside..Looks like waking up late (3.30!) has its merits afterall, for I didn't have to go through the agonising wait for the results to be published. Taking a simple meal to start off the day, I then waited...rather pessimistically in front of the PC, with the login page staring at me, probably glancing at me with a sadistic smirk as though what awaits is excruciating pain...
The 10 minute wait felt like an hour though. When the results are finally published (I knew through friends in MSN), my login ID and passwords are already typed out, and all I have to do is to press the button in the picture above (yeah I snapped the pic at that moment). Just closed my eyes, hit Enter, waited for the page to load...(which felt like another couple of hours)
Then I slowly lowered my hand off my eyes.
...
.....
...I'll be going to the UK.
Thank goodness....
Next question, will I collapse from stress in the UK? Will the weather suck the life outta me? Do I have to read 20 books a week to cope?? Are the lecturers there really sadists?!?
(P.S. Note to myself, bad idea to write posts early in the morning...)
